Sector F-14 Islamabad , a sector recently introduced by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) – is presently the most discussed one in Islamabad’s Zone 1. F-14, renowned for providing a prime location and government supported development umbrella, is now becoming the new shining star for making investment in real estate. The key utilities will be incorporated within a smart grid infrastructure, for efficient operations and sustainability.
The layout also reserves blocks for the major civic amenities such as schools and professional colleges and for training institutions. In the health sector, land is allocated with hospitals, BHUs and pharmacies for the efficient provision of health facilities. In addition, on a city-wide area level, the plan includes the establishment of large commercial areas which will include markets, shopping centers, and office complexes, so that residents can fulfill their daily life needs nearby.
Neither has religious infrastructure. Several masjids would also be built in various parts of the sector to provide easy access to prayer facilities. Seperate plots have also been earmarked for cultural centres and community halls which are expected to help in socializing of the residents.
Road network in the sector will be developed along a well plan grid system with the boulevards and streets. Traffic movement will be controlled through appropriate road signs, traffic lights and roundabouts.
