Sector E-12 Islamabad is one of the Capital Development Authority’s oldest residential sectors that remained undeveloped for decades but is now gaining attention once again due to renewed development activity. Sector E-12 Islamabad Location:
Sector E-12 is situated in the northern zone of Islamabad and is situated right below Margalla Hills area. It is situated along Golra Road that runs through the sector connecting to other major roads such as Margalla Avenue and Kashmir Highway through connecting roadways.

Sector E-12 Islamabad Master Plan
The four residential sub-sectors are E-12/1, E-12/2, E-12/3 and E-12/4 that are separated by significant service roads and unified by composition of the inside streets and principal boulevards. The whole industry is planned on a core Markaz ( commercial center ) and Girls College, green belts, parks, and specific flat portions where apartments are built.
Service Road West lies along the west side and Service Road East along the east side of the map. Broad Green Strip and Blue Area (commercial belt) at the bottom make the direct connection of the sector to E-11 and F sectors. Sector E-12 Islamabad Development Update:
Years after performing slowly, Sector E-12 has recently experienced a lot of activity on the ground in terms of both land development including the prominent development in sub-sectors E-12/1, E-12/2, and E-12/3 where the major development has seen development of over 1,000 residential plots as mid-2025 draws near.
The CDA has again started work on such areas with a target of completing all the remaining groundwork and infrastructure by the middle of 2025 and it is anticipated that the possession letters will be finally issued in at least two of such sub-sectors immediately after Eid.
E-12/1 has almost been finished as far as plot cutting and rough layout goes, and E-12/ 2 and E-12/3 are also busy with road making and leveling going on. Conversely, E-12/4 is yet to be fully developed as there are still land-related problems and encroachment that has delayed the full-scale development of this project and the tenders are yet to be implemented.
